When you are in the middle of the annual holiday party – a well-known, tradition that goes back 86 years, you can feel the rush of excitement as employees, retirees and their families come together to celebrate and enjoy a magical experience, whether it’s visiting with Santa, having their face painted or enjoying treats, there is something for everyone. But in our ongoing commitment to providing an inclusive experience for all, we recognize that not everyone is equipped to handle the regular pace of the holiday party experience.

This year, we are introducing our Magic Hour, a special time to support families of children with autism and other special needs. This offers a calmer and quieter environment, and volunteers to ensure each guest has a safe, fun-filled experience.

Any employee (permanent or casual) with a dependent child requiring special accommodation can make a request to join for our ArcelorMittal Dofasco Annual Family Christmas & Holiday Party Magic Hour on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the F.H. Sherman Recreation and Learning Centre.

This hour will include:

· A visit with Santa

· An opportunity to choose a toy from their age specific booth

· Caricaturists and Face Painters

· Inflatables

· Photo booth

· and of course treats!
