When is this year’s party?

The party is on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Is the party at a new location this year?

YES!  The party will take place at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, located at 630 Trinity Road South, Jerseyville, ON  L0R 1R0 

Will there be a ‘Magic Hour’ again this year for children with disabilities and neurodivergence?

Yes.  ‘Magic Hour’ will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This time is only for families of children with disabilities and/or neurodivergence, to offer them a calmer and quieter environment that is still safe and fun filled.  Please note that only registered families will be admitted during this time.

If I have a child who has a disability or neurodivergent, do I need to register for the ‘Magic Hour’?

Yes, you will need to register for ‘Magic Hour’ here. Only registered families will be admitted during this time.

Are shuttle buses available from the Main Office or Rec Park to the new party location at the Ancaster Fairgrounds?

NO. There are no shuttle services available. There is plenty of free parking on-site at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

Is parking free at the Ancaster Fairgrounds for the party?

Yes.  Parking on-site is free.

How do I get a disability parking pass for the party at the Ancaster Fairgrounds?

You do not need to obtain any special parking passes.  If you have a disability / limited mobility parking pass from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, you simply need to have it displayed in your vehicle.  The Ancaster Fairgrounds has numerous  designated disability parking areas onsite. 

With the labour strike at Canada Post, how will I get my tickets?

Permanent and casual employees received their tickets by email this year (sent on November 20, 2024 from ArcelorMittal Dofasco Family Christmas & Holiday Party <no-reply@unityreg.com>”.

For retirees and on-leave employees, we are looking to collect your email address so we can email you your tickets. Please visit our ticket page on the party website for more information.  

I didn’t submit my email address before the submission deadline; can I still come to the party?

Yes. We will have your tickets available on-site but please note that you will need to wait in line outside to pick up your tickets. 

I don’t have an email address; how do I get my invitation and tickets?

We recommend that you find someone with an email address who can help you get your invitation and tickets. If you are unable to find someone to help, we will have your tickets available on-site but please note that you will need to wait in line outside to pick up your tickets. 

I did not receive all my party tickets. Who do I contact?

Please visit our ticket page for ticket information. If you need more information you can call the Christmas and Holiday Party Office at (647) 534-6227 or send us a message through our contact form.

If I am unable to attend the party on Sunday, December 15, 2024, is there another way to get my souvenir gift, nutcracker and children’s toys?

Yes.  Post-party souvenir, nutcracker and children’s toy pickup is available at the Ancaster Fairgrounds on: 

Please note that you must have either your QR codes or printed tickets to redeem items. QR codes are unique and can only be redeemed once. You can pick up for friends / coworkers so long as you have their QR codes. 

There will be no pick-up of items outside of these dates and times. 

Can I pick up my souvenir, nutcracker or toy at the Rec Park or Main Office?

No. All party gifts are shipped to the party venue and will not be shipped to an additional destination for pick up.

Am I able to pick up the souvenir, nutcracker or children’s toy for my friends at the party or post-party pick-up?

Yes, you may pick up the souvenir item, nutcracker or toys, if you have either their QR code or printed ticket. Please note that QR codes are unique and can only be redeemed once.

Am I able to bring my grandchildren to the party?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your grandchildren to the party to enjoy all the festivities the day has to offer.  However, grandchildren are not eligible to receive a toy.

The visit with Santa bookings are full. What do I do now?

Even though all pre-booked spots for visits with Santa are currently filled, we encourage you to check back often as there may be cancellations. On the day of the party, there will be a line for those without a booked appointment to visit with Santa and take a photo. The wait time in this line will depend on volume but we will do our best to keep things moving.
